Buying
How do I get a price for a container delivered to my site?
Each container shows its price on the site. Delivery is a fixed rate per container for your region, shown in the cart before you pay, or send your ZIP through the quote form for a written delivered quote. A specialist then confirms stock at the nearest depot and a delivery date before you pay. No account is needed to see prices, and a quote does not commit you to buy.
Which size do I need, 10ft, 20ft or 40ft?
Start with what you store and the space you have. A 10ft box suits small loads and tight yards. A 20ft holds about 1,172 cu ft and fits most sites. A 40ft doubles that and is usually cheaper per cubic foot, but it needs a long approach for the truck. If you will stack, shelve or insulate, look at a high cube.
Can I see the container before it is delivered?
Yes, in most cases. You can visit the depot by appointment, or ask for photos of the specific unit before it ships. Depot visits depend on location and the depot's opening hours, so arrange them with your specialist first.
Do you sell to businesses and homeowners?
Yes. We supply contractors, farms, retailers, logistics companies, event crews and homeowners. Business buyers can ask for invoicing, purchase orders and multi-unit quotes. Homeowners should check local zoning or HOA rules before ordering, since some areas limit where a container can stand or how long it can stay.
Delivery and site
How is a container delivered?
Most deliveries use a tilt-bed truck. The driver backs up to your spot, tilts the bed and slides the container onto the ground as the truck pulls forward. No crane is needed. You or someone you trust should be on site to show the driver the exact position and to check the container before signing for it.
How much space does the delivery truck need?
As a rough guide, allow a straight, firm approach of about 3 times the container length, plus clear width of about 12 ft and overhead clearance of about 14 to 16 ft. A 40ft box needs far more room than a 20ft. Your specialist reviews photos or a sketch of your site before booking.
How long does delivery take after I order?
Most orders arrive 8 to 15 business days after your order is confirmed. Your specialist gives you a delivery window once stock is checked, and the driver calls ahead on the day.
What base should the container sit on?
A level, firm and well-drained base. Compacted gravel, concrete pads, railroad ties or treated timber under each corner all work. Avoid soft ground and low spots where water collects. A dry base keeps the floor frame clear of moisture, makes the doors easier to open and adds years to the container's life.
Condition and warranty
What does new one-trip mean?
A new one-trip container was built overseas and made a single voyage with cargo before being sold. It looks close to new, with minor marks from handling. It is the usual choice when appearance matters or when the box will be converted into an office or workshop, because the walls, floor and seals start in clean condition.
What is the difference between cargo-worthy and wind and watertight?
Both are used grades. A cargo-worthy container is structurally sound and fit to carry cargo again, with surface rust and dents. A wind and watertight container keeps wind and water out and locks securely, but may not meet shipping standards and shows more wear. For dry storage on the ground, wind and watertight is usually enough.
Is there a warranty?
Containers are covered against leaks and structural defects that were present at delivery, for a set period that depends on the grade. Normal wear, rust from site conditions and damage after delivery are not covered. Full terms are on the warranty page and in your order confirmation.
What should I check when the container arrives?
Walk around the outside and look for holes or serious damage. Open and close both doors and test the locking bars. Step inside, close the doors and look for daylight, which shows a hole. Check the floor for soft spots. Note any problem on the delivery paperwork and send photos to your specialist the same day.
Payment
How can I pay?
Pay by credit card at checkout: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. Business buyers can ask about invoicing and purchase orders. Your specialist explains the options that apply to your order.
Is sales tax included in the price?
Sales tax depends on the delivery address and is shown at checkout or on your written quote before you pay. Business buyers with a valid resale or exemption certificate can send it to us before the order is processed. Delivery charges are listed separately so you can see what you are paying for.
